The characters in this film are not so complicated that they do not impose a significant burden on the cast. In general, this film is no different from other horror films, but fulfills the requirements to be categorized as a horror film.
The Evan family (Harrison Gilbertson) moves to a house in a lonely place. There, he meets a neighbor girl, Samantha (Liana Liberato), who later becomes a figure he appraises.
The house where Evan lived turned out to be a haunted house that had many mysteries. Various kinds of strange things were experienced by Evan and his family which further strengthened the existence of spirits in the house.
Intrigued, Evan tried to find out about the mystery of the house with Samantha. Little by little, they get a relationship about the ghost that is with the history of the Morello family who died while occupying the house.

For horror movie fans, the story of the haunted house may not be too strange anymore. Previously, many horror films raised similar stories such as Insidious or The Conjuring.
Equipped with minimal budget, director Mac Carter is still able to give a creepy sequence typical of horror films in general. The opening scene of “Haunt” should be a conversation because it can make anyone’s skin goose bumps when watching it. Unfortunately, the continuation of the story does not seem to offer anything new where the film is still struggling in the vortex of most horror films.
Carrying out names that tend to be new as the main star, the film was saved through the presence of veteran actress Jackie Weaver who is able to provide its own strength when it appears on the screen. The charisma of the Oscar nominee actress through the film Animal Kingdom remains radiated and makes the scenes involving her always eagerly awaited.
Even so, this film is still able to give spooky effects to the audience. The existence of “eerie” music became a major force in building a creepy foundation in the whole story. Typical sequences of horror films such as doors that open themselves and so on are also still able to surprise viewers who can already watch this film in the nearest cinema.
